MotoGP: Luca Marini set to go to Brazil for a test on the new track at Goiânia

Late last year, Dorna had announced the return of the Brazilian Grand Prix to the calendar in 2026. The track chosen is that of Goiânia, named after Ayrton Senna. MotoGP is thus ready to make another stop in the South American country, from where it has been missing since 2004, when the last GP was held in Rio de Janeiro.

Preparations seem to be moving forward and one of the first riders to discover the Brazilian track will be Luca Marini. "After Argentina, I will go to Brazil for the first time to try the new track where we will race next year. It will be an exciting trip," the Honda rider revealed.

First, however, he will have to focus on the weekend at Termas de Rio Hondo. "In Thailand we were able to pull off a very positive weekend, so now that we're heading to Argentina I'm optimistic that we can continue that way. I don't think racing there for the first time with Honda will be a problem, the team and I have been working a lot during the season to find a good base for the bike, so I know we can start in the right way. In 2023 I obtained my first podium in the Sprint in Argentina and I hope this weekend will be good," he said.
