In MotoGP, privacy is now a rare commodity, with TV cameras ready to capture every behind-the-scenes story. Like the exchange of banter between Bagnaia and the Ducati managers at the end of the Thailand race, you can see the video below.
Pecco is visibly annoyed at not even being able to fight with the two Marquez brothers in the GP. "I can't be happy for a third place," he says. Davide Tardozzi tries to console him, "when you are on the podium, you did something good." The Italian was not convinced: "finishing third," he replies with a bitter smile.
So far nothing unusual, it is the normal disappointment of a champion who cannot be satisfied with a placing. However, then Bagnaia's attention shifts to his Desmosedici. "Now I want to understand what happened," he says turning to Dall'Igna. "What happened?" the engineer asks him. At that point, Pecco points to the tyres on his bike. "On the tyre?" realizes Gigi. "We'll talk about it later," cut short Pecco, who probably noticed the cameras that were filming the scene.
In the official press conference, Bagnaia explained that he was losing in acceleration from both Alex and Marc, but did not bring up the subject of the tyres. Now it seems that some doubt has come to him. "We'll have a look at it later," Dall'Igna assured him.
For sure the topic will be the subject of the next technical meetings, while Pecco is already thinking about the next GP: "now we have finished our work, from Argentina we will only think about doing well."
