Moto2: MSi team has chosen Oscar Gutierrez to replace Garcia in Thailand

The MSi team has chosen the rider who will replace the injured Sergio Garcia in the first round of Moto2, to be held this weekend in Thailand. It will be Oscar Gutierrez who will ride on the Boscoscoscuro bike left orphaned by the 21-year-old Valencian, who underwent surgery in recent days due to a fracture of the fourth metacarpal of his right hand, suffered during testing in Jerez.

Garcia is expected to return to action at the Argentine GP, scheduled for the weekend of March 14-16 at Termas De Rio Hondo. Before starting his second full season in MotoE with the MSi team, Gutierrez will thus be called upon to make his debut in the intermediate class, on a track as unfamiliar to him as the Chang International Circuit in Buriram.

It will be a big challenge for the 25-year-old Catalan, who already managed to surprise everyone last year in MotoE, finishing third in the championship with three wins, five more podiums and a total of 203 points, after also being in the running for the title in his debut year in the category.
