MotoGP: OFFICIAL: Martin to miss Thai GP, will be replaced by Savadori

Aprilia has officially confirmed the rumors of the last few hours: Jorge Martin was injured in training and will undergo surgery tomorrow. His place in the first GP of the season in Thailand, will be taken by test rider Lorenzo Savadori.

This is the note from the Noale manufacturer:

"Jorge Martin suffered a complex fracture of the radius, some carpal bones on the left side and an ipsilateral calcaneal fracture during a training session. After a surgical consultation, it was decided to proceed with surgery which will take place tomorrow at the Dexeus Clinic in Barcelona to stabilize the fractures of the radius and left scaphoid. Martin will miss the Thailand Grand Prix and recovery times will be determined after the surgery. Lorenzo Savadori will replace Martin in Thailand."
