MotoGP: Another injury for Jorge Martin: he will have to miss the Thai GP

There never seems to be an end to bad luck, and for Aprilia and Jorge Martin another piece of bad news has arrived. According to reports on Motorsport, the world champion appears to have injured his left hand this morning while training and will have to undergo another operation tomorrow morning. That being the case, he will not be able to participate in the first Grand Prix of the year, to be held in Thailand this weekend.

Martin had fractured his right hand and left foot in Sepang on the first day of winter testing. He had to return to Spain, where he underwent surgery. The injury forced him to miss all the tests, but his participation in the first GP of the season was certain.

Jorge had been training hard to get back into shape in time, and this morning, before leaving for Buriram, he wanted to check his condition, but he suffered another injury. Now we will have to wait for official word from Aprilia and then find out what the recovery time will be.
