Glenn van Straalen won't be present at the start of the first round of the season. The D34G Racing team's rider will have to forfeit racing in the Phillip Island event due to a concussion following a fall on the first day of the official tests in Australia.

Van Straalen lost control of his Ducati after slipping on the oil left on the track by the MV Agusta ridden by Farioli,  who was ahead of him. He'll have to rest until the mid-March tests in Portimão, when he'll be back in action to prepare for the second round of the year.

Harrison Voight will be replacing him on Davide Giugliano's Ducati Panigale V2 955 in the season opener. The 18-year-old Australian will be making his World Supersport debut on his home circuit, following his recent experience in the European Moto2 Championship and a few appearances in the Moto3 and Moto2 World Championships.
