SBK: Violent highside for Toprak, crash for Rea: a bad morning's work at Phillip Island

It was a morning of crashes for Superbike at Phillip Island, the most ruinous being those of Toprak and Rea. A few minutes into the session, the BMW rider was the victim of a violent highside at Turn 7, which forced him to raise the white flag.

Toprak was no longer seen on the track, but it seems to be nothing serious. The fact remains that no news has transpired from BMW.

Shortly before 1 p.m., it was then the turn of Rea, who also ended up on the ground with the Yamaha and was then transported to the medical center for checks, which found a foot injury.

As a result of the multiple champion's crash, Gardner and Lecuona also ended up on the ground, but it seems there are no consequences. We now await the afternoon to see how the situation develops.
