MotoGP: A wheelie gone wrong: Di Giannantonio fractures collarbone

There is no peace for Fabio Di Giannantonio, the rider from Rome who had ended the 2024 season early to cope with his shoulder injury, today crashed at Turn 5 at the end of the first day of testing at the Sepang circuit, sustaining a fractured left collarbone.

'Diggia', who worked in testing today on the setup of his new Ducati GP25, the only other rider to have it besides Bagnaia and Marquez in the Official Ducati team, crashed at the end of the session, following a wheelie that ended in a steering lock when the front wheel touched the ground.

Already this evening Di Giannantonio will be returning to Italy to undergo surgery, a setback that comes at a delicate time during important tests for the Italian (who already did not participate in the end-of-season tests in Barcelona) and with the start of the 2025 championship now just around the corner.
