MotoGP: New on Pirro's Ducati at Sepang: more wings on the tail and bigger air intakes

Engineers are always very careful not to unveil their cards too early, especially when it comes to aerodynamics, out of fear that rivals will quickly copy the new solutions. During the Shakedown in Sepang, however, something was seen on the Ducati GP25 brought to the track by test rider Michele Pirro. You can see the picture above, with the two main evolutions highlighted.

First of all, the eye is immediately struck by the tail, which is even more crowded with spoilers. If in fact the two vertical 'antennas' are not new, the two spoilers added on the side are. Unlike the others, they have a horizontal development and are closed on the lower part, with a shape somewhat reminiscent of a spoon.

This is not the only new feature on the fairing, because the front end has also undergone major changes. In this case you have to look at those diffusers that are vulgarly called 'ears'. Their function is to create a ground effect, and on the GP25 the elements have definitely been enlarged. You can also tell this by looking at the horizontal spoiler on the fairing, which has been - by necessity - shortened.

These are the first new features on the Desmosedici, but to see the 'highlights' we will have to wait for Bagnaia and Marquez to arrive on the track on Wednesday, if not even the upcoming tests in Buriram.
