Valentino Rossi's 2025 started with a podium finish. In fact, the Doctor, crewed by Raffaele Marciello and Charles Weerts, took 2nd place at the end of the Bathurst 12 Hours. The WRT team and BMW made it a double win in Australia by winning with the other crew formed by Farfus and the Van Der Linde brothers.
Number 46's M4 started from a 12th position, and Valentino and his teammates did well to make the best use of their many Safety Cards (as many as 7 entered the track due to other incidents). The first, not even two hours into the race, allowed Rossi and his teammates to get in the positions that counted and, by mid-race, they were in the lead. A Drive Through penalty for an infraction committed under Safety Car conditions cost them the overall victory.
However, Valentino was still able to celebrate on the podium in his first race of the year.
