SBK: Dunlop expands partnership with EWC: supplier OF Production World Trophy

The partnership between Dunlop and World Endurance will become even more collaborative in 2025. Thanks to a multi-year renewal of the partnership between the two, Dunlop will continue its activities in the Superstock, for which it has been the sole tire supplier since 2022, while becoming the exclusive tire supplier of the new FIM Production World Trophy class.

A category designed to be accessible in terms of both cost and performance, with 1000cc motorcycles on the grid, which  differ from their road counterparts only with regard to a few basic modifications.

Through entering into this new agreement, Dunlop will be able to share its expertise with all FIM Production World Trophy teams, while also providing them with the same range of Dunlop KR racing slicks available to teams in the Superstock.

The tire company will not only be present in the two classes for which it is the sole tire supplier, but it will also be able to continue working with some of the teams competing for the overall victory in the Formula EWC, where the competition remains open for tires.

"We're delighted to continue the collaboration and expand our partnership with the World Endurance Championship," Wim Van Achter, Motorsport Manager for Dunlop Motorcycle Europe, commented. "Working with Warner Bros. Discovery Sports as one of the championship's official partners, we're excited to introduce the FIM Production World Trophy, in order to allow more teams to compete in an accessible and rewarding environment and create an even more exciting spectacle for fans, with larger grids and more action."

Jean-Baptiste Ley, Motorsport Events Director at Warner Bros. Discovery Sports, is also satisfied in having reinforced the partnership with Dunlop.

"Having taken the FIM Endurance World Cup Superstock on an exclusive basis since 2022 to a very high standard, we know we can count on Dunlop as a stable partner. So, it was an obvious step towards expanding our alliance with Dunlop, in order to make them the exclusive tire supplier for the brand new FIM Production World Trophy, a very exciting addition to the EWC pyramid starting in 2025," he said. "We're also pleased to extend our multi-year commercial partnership with Dunlop, which began in 2016 and has helped strengthen the EWC, year after year."

The 2025 EWC season will kick off on the weekend of April 19th to 20th with the 24 Hours of Le Mans Motos, followed by the 8 Hours Spa Motos in June, the Suzuka 8 Hours in August, and the Bol d'Or in September. The FIM Production World Trophy will only participate in the three European rounds.
