SBK, Bulega ready for Australia: "The package is good and I have everything under control"

"I have a good feeling with the bike and in Phillip Island I will start with more experience than last year, since I am no longer a rookie. I will try to repeat what I did in 2024 and push until the last race."

SBK: Bulega ready for Australia:

Despite having managed to complete only a few laps in these two days of testing, Nicolò Bulega leaves Portimao with good feelings and a lot of confidence. On the strength of the third position set on Tuesday, less than a tenth from Razgatlioglu's best performance, and the knowledge that he still has some margin in his pocket, the Emilian rider is ready to fly to Australia for the final touches.

"Unfortunately, this winter has not been the best as far as the weather is concerned," admitted Bulega, drawing up a balance of his pre-season, "At Jerez we didn't lap much last week and in these two days here in Portimao we only did a few laps in yesterday's half-day on track. Today it started raining already from the first hour of testing, so I decided to stay in the box and save a day of testing. Now we are going to Australia and I am ready, because I think I have a good feeling with the bike. For sure you can always improve, but in any case we can go to Australia with a good package."

Satisfied with his pace and the indications received in Spain and Portugal, Bulegas is clear about the work to be done in the final two days of testing at Phillip Island.

"I will only try to improve my feeling on the bike, because, as I said, you can always do better. Last year I was a rookie and the first day is always difficult, while this time Australia will be my first race not as a rookie. It will be interesting for me and I will try to start with more experience," stressed the Emilian rider, who aims to start again with another great performance, "Last year was incredible because I took pole position, the fastest lap in the race and won Race 1. I will try to repeat that if possible."

With a season of experience behind him, the Ducati rider is ready to fight it out to the end: "What do I expect from this year? I don't know because every season is different and this year the level is even higher. I think it will be even more difficult, but I have one more year of experience, I have a very good team, a very good bike and I feel very good, I have everything under control now and I think I can push until the last race."
