Scott Redding was one of the stars of the Jerez test, to the extent that he finished the first day of his return on the Ducati in third place. We spoke with him at the end of the second day, which you can read HERE.
In the last few hours, the Bonovo team rider also spoke to Speedweek, remembering his arrival in Ducatin in 2020: "When I arrived in Ducati, the bike was still relatively new," he said. "Over the years, however, they've developed it a lot and, today, they know every detail. Like I've already said, I never doubted that the Panigale couldn't work with a taller rider, but there was an advantage with shorter ones."
That's why he didn't get over the fact of being replaced by Bautista: "That's precisely why it bothered me when they chose Alvaro instead of continuing with me. They relied on speed in straights but, the moment that fails, then you end up with last year's results. Personally, I think the bike works better with a taller rider, because you have to push and, as a result, a taller rider has an easier time than a shorter one."
That's how Scott's analyzed his return to Ducati and compared to Bautista.
