Fabio Di Giannantonio had not been on a bike for 3 months, since he crossed the finish line in the Thai GP on October 27 last year. At that point he returned to Italy to have surgery on his injured shoulder, missing the last two rounds of the championship. Since then, the rider from Rome has been thinking about his recovery, spending the winter in rehabilitation.

"I feel better, I think I will arrive at the Sepang tests 85 percent fit," he said a few days ago at the VR46 team presentation. However, he had not yet ridden a bike, although the schedule was already clear: before getting on the Ducati GP25 in Malaysia, he had a test in Indonesia, at the Mandalika track. There he found a Ducati Panigale V4 in the pits and plenty of other riders to train with, those from Valentino's Riders Academy. From teammate Franco Morbidelli to Pecco Bagnaia, from Marco Bezzecchi to Luca Marini, as well as Celestino Vietti and Andrea Migno.

Yesterday and today Diggia was able to check his condition. "The first indications are good, he feels good," said Alessio 'Uccio' Salucci, team principal. Which is good news for Fabio, who from February 5-7 will finally be able to discover the GP25 in Sepang.

While waiting to see him in action on the MotoGP, we leave you with some shots of Di Giannantonio and Morbidelli in action at Mandalika.
