Dakar: Danilo Petrucci and Italtrans team forced to retire from the Dakar

The Dakar of Danilo Petrucci and the Italtrans team came to an end after the sixth stage, which was the one that took the caravan from AL Ula to Hail. This is what we have learned in the last few hours. Unfortunately, due to a health problem for Claudio Bellina, the Italian team decided to stop, bringing an early end to their Raid.

Fortunately, nothing serious for the driver from Bergamo, who together with Marco Arnoletti and Petrux was driving the IVECO in the Saudi Arabian desert. As a precautionary measure, the team then decided to stop, effectively ending the race in the Arabian desert.

As reported by Sky Sports, Bellina experienced a major drop in blood pressure at km 440 of the special stage. He was disoriented and unresponsive to his navigator's directions. After an initial medical examination at the Al Duwadimi bivouac, where he arrived in an ambulance and in good condition, he was transported in the night to the hospital in Riyadh to undergo further investigations, all of which fortunately came back negative.
