SBK: Toprak will miss the Jerez test because of surgery

The first Superbike tests of the new year will be held at Jerez de la Frontera on January 22 and 23, and Toprak Razgatlioglu will be missing from the roll call. On Friday, in fact, the entry list of participants was released and the absence of the champion certainly did not escape notice.

According to what we have learned in the last few hours, the BMW rider will not be present at the Jerez tests because in recent days he underwent surgery on the index finger of his hand, following a fall in training.

Toprak, in agreement with BMW, has therefore decided as a precautionary measure to forgo the Andalusian two-day event, but the aim is to be ready for the Portimao tests, scheduled for later this month.

We will find out more information regarding Toprak's health condition on Wednesday, when the team presentation is held in Berlin. Despite the recent surgery, Razgatlioglu will still be present.
