MotoGP, KTM: "We are relieved! We will work to make the company sustainable."

Stefan Pierer and KTM board member Gottfried Neumeister issued a joint statement after the first insolvency hearing. The tones are optimistic; we quote it to you in full.

"We are very relieved! Today the judge decided that all three companies can continue to operate for the duration of the proceedings. However, today's was only the first step in the reorganization procedure, which will last 90 days, which means we will continue to work hard for our employees, our suppliers and our dealers to make this company sustainable in the long term. After all, we are talking about a business location and an Austrian brand known from Los Angeles to Sydney. The most important thing is to save as many jobs as possible.

In this context, we are looking for new investors and trying to reach a sustainable solution together with our creditors. In particular, we are in discussions with the banks.

We would like to take this opportunity to express special thanks to all our employees who continue to work for our company despite adverse circumstances, uncertainty and sacrifices. And we would also like to thank our KTM fans and loyal customers around the world for their support. All of you give us strength and courage!"
