The engines may be turned off, but the teams and riders are not sitting around idle and are continuing to work hard ahead of the new MotoGP season. For that very reason, the Trackhouse Racing team announced today that it has reached a major agreement for 2025 and beyond with an exceptional partner in the form of Gulf Oil International, a leading manufacturer of performance lubricants and associated products.
In what will be its second season in MotoGP, the American team will thus sport the iconic Gulf logo on the Aprilia RS-GP25 and on the racing suits worn on track by its two riders, Raul Fernandez and, Moto2 World Champion, Ai Ogura. A brand with a long history in the world of motorsport and motor racing in particular, where, from the mid-1960s onward, it has "dressed" with its unmistakable light blue and orange livery some historic cars such as the Ford GT40, or the Porsche 917 and 911.
It is not known at the moment whether the colors of the new partner will also characterize the livery of the Aprilia cars fielded by the American team, but what is certain is that this new collaboration, on which further details will be provided in the coming weeks, will allow Gulf to continue to grow its brand in the coming years in all the countries where MotoGP will run. Including some key markets such as Southeast Asia.
"It is truly an honor and a big moment for the Trackhouse MotoGP team to welcome Gulf as a major partner. Gulf's iconic brand has graced some of the most memorable and significant motorsport efforts in history, and for their orange disc logo to be featured on our Aprilia RS-GP25s is incredibly exciting for the company. We look forward to bringing the Gulf brand to life in global motorcycle racing and its millions of fans" said Justin Marks, Trackhouse team owner.
Also enthusiastic, Gulf Oil International UK Limited CEO Mike Jones commented, "Gulf has a rich history in motorsport and we are excited to continue this history by partnering with a motorcycle racing team as ambitious and dynamic as Trackhouse Racing. Together, we share a joint vision of placing fans at the heart of everything we do and bringing them closer to the action through our partnership. We are looking forward to creating a real impact in MotoGP and seeing where this next chapter in our iconic motorsport history takes us."
