Luca Bernardi will be one of the new riders lined up the start of the Moto E in 2025. After Chaz Davies' farewell, Aruba decided to put its faith in the rider from San Marino who was riding this year in the CIV with Aprilia and later in the World Superbike with Motoxracing, participating in the last rounds.
We remember Bernardi's story well. Three years ago, he was one of the promising riders of Italian motorcycling. In his debut season in the SuperSport World Championship with CM, Luca conquered five podiums and attracted the attention of several teams for 2022.
Unfortunately, his bad injury at Magny-Cours forced him to raise the white flag early and watch the following five rounds from home. But, as mentioned, his talent didn't escape the attention of other teams in the category, including Aruba, which was looking for a rider for the debut of the Panigale V2.
Luca was, in fact, what they were looking for, and Serafino Foti was ready to offer him a chance. However, Bernardi decided on the Superbike with Barni. In the end, Aruba opted for another rider, Nicolò Bulega.
And we all know how the story went. Bernardi struggled in the World Superbike, more than expected, therefore, ending his Barni chapter ahead of time and ended up riding in the last races of 2022 with CM's Ducati V2 in the SuperSport. In the meantime, Bulegà began tracing his path towards winning the 2023 title and becoming runner-up the following season in the Superbike.
In 2025, we'll see them wearing the same colors, even if in two different paddocks.
