In recent weeks, news about KTM has been non stop and certainly not comforting. The company is in a serious crisis that has led to a restructuring process, and many are wondering if the MotoGP project will be affected. Yesterday, Hervé Poncharal, team principal for Tech3 (the Austrian manufacturer's second official team) had told GPOne that "the plans for the MotoGP are confirmed for 2025."
In fact, the Racing Department is a separate structure from the parent company and isn't affected at the moment. Today we also learned that the last 3 days of scheduled tests before the Christmas break have also been confirmed.
KTM's test team will be in Jerez from December 11th to 13th, and riding the RC16s will be its two test riders, Pol Espargarò and Dani Pedrosa (the latter recently confirmed in his role for next year, as well). Both riders will continue to develop the Austrian bike for 2025.
Remember that the first official tests with riders are scheduled for February 5th to 7th in Sepang, preceded by the Shakedown for rookies and test riders.
