The season has come to an end and already people are looking to the one to come. Superbike's 2024 season certainly left a smile on the face of Toprak Razgatlioglu, the title winner riding for BMW. This season Toprak ended up on the ground on only two occasions, one of them being Magny-Cours, which forced him to miss the French and Cremona rounds, and then return to Aragon.
It is a fact that the Turkish rider once again proved to be particularly good at limiting the number of his errors, so much so that the only rider better than him was Syahrin, who raced only at the Portimao round.
It's the complete opposite for Alvaro Bautista, who in this 2024 ended up on the ground on no less than 17 occasions, exactly like the rookie Sam Lowes. Numbers that weigh in no small part, especially if we consider that never before this year has the Spaniard crashed so many times.
In the Honda days, just to give an example, Alvaro stopped at 12, or five fewer. Certainly all these mistakes weighed not a little in the title race.
In the ranking released by Dorna, at quota ten are Alex Lowes, Mackenzie and Locatelli, while Andrea Iannone collected eight, just like Johnny Rea. Three less instead for Nicolò Bulega just like Scott Redding.
At quota four is Danilo Petrucci along with Rinaldi and Gerloff.
