The flood that affected the Valencian community last month also damaged the Ricardo Tomo Circuit, which is scheduled to reopen in a few days (Dec. 5th). But a "rival track" has decided to lend a hand. After talks between the Dutch and Valencian circuit directors, the TT Assen Circuit - which is preparing to celebrate its centenary in 2025 - has decided to make a 50,000-Euro donation towards renovating the machinery that was affected by the floods at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit. Some of it became unusable after the floods. An excavator and a crane were buried by water and mud under the tunnel that crosses the track at the starting grid.

The Ricardo Tormo's General Manager, Nicolás Collado, expressed his gratitude: "The motorsport community has been quite affected. During the Barcelona Solidarity Grand Prix, we could see how the MotoGP paddock and the Circuit de Catalunya itself were involved, and we received this offer of assistance from the Assen Circuit, which will be very helpful."

Arjan Bos, Chairman of the Board of the Assen circuit explained: "We were deeply troubled by what happened in Valencia. We want to demonstrate that the MotoGP community stands in solidarity with others in times of trouble. We wish everyone, not just the people at the Valencia circuit, all the best in these difficult times."

Sports activities will return to the Valencia circuit on December 5th with the first private tests. For this purpose, an alternative access road to the usual one has been prepared, which will have to be repaired before the start of the upcoming season.
