SBK: Ana Carrasco lands in World Supersport with Honda France team

The first queen of the WorldWCR will not be starting the championship in 2025. After making history as the first rider to win two world titles, Ana Carrasco will in fact embrace a new challenge next year, debuting in World Supersport.

The 27-year-old Spaniard will take part in the Supersport Challenge, competing only in the EuropeanRounds of the championship, and will race on the CBR600RR fielded by the Honda France team.

"I am very happy to join Honda in this new project. This is the biggest motorcycle factory in the World and is an honour for me to race with these colours," said Carrasco. "I want to learn as fast as possible during the season and fight for good results. I'm looking forward to work with the team and to ride the bike for the first time. I want to thank HRC, Honda Europe and Honda France for trusting on me and give me this opportunity. I will give my best to achieve our goals during this season."

Joining the experienced Murcian rider, who also has a history in Moto3 and SSP300,in this new adventure will be Corentin Perolari. An old acquaintance of the SSP World Championship, as the Frenchman had already raced in the category with GMT94's Yamaha between 2018 and 2020. And he proved competitive again this year, at the wildcard held at Magny-Cours just riding the CBR fielded by the CBO Racing Honda France team.

"I’m delighted to be in the World Supersport Championship, especially representing the Honda brand, which I’m very fond of. The whole team can count on me to give my best in every race," said Perolari. "The initial tests will allow us to take our marks with the team. After that, the aim is to perform as we did during the wildcard at Magny-Cours last September, but over a full season. Consistently being in the Top 10 would be fantastic."
