Motorcycle racing, after the exertions of 2024, has gone on hiatus, but not on vacation. The teams, in fact, are already preparing for 2025. We got a small taste of the year to come in Barcelona on the Tuesday after the last Grand Prix, but the best is yet to come. Today all the test dates for next season were made official.
As for MotoGP, winter testing will be in Malaysia and Thailand.
Sepang Shakedown (reserved for rookies, test riders and manufacturers with concessions): January 31 to February 2
Sepang test: February 5 to 7
Buriram test: February 12 to 13.
During the season, riders will have 3 official test days, on the Monday after the GP.
Jerez test: April 28
Aragon test: June 9
Misano test: Sept. 15
While MotoGP will spend the winter in Asia, Moto2 and Moto3 will remain in Europe instead. Their tests will be held in Portugal and Spain.
Portimao Moto3 test: February 10 to 11
Portimao Moto2 test: February 12 to 13
Moto3 and Moto2 test in Jerez: February 18 to 20
During the season, the two smaller classes will also have test days available.
Le Mans Moto3 test: May 12
Le Mans Moto2 test: May 13
Brno Moto2 test: July 21
Brno Moto3 test: July 22
