Simone Corsi is in Barcelona to race as a wild card with the Forward team. He'll also be in the same garage next year, but with a different role: no longer as a rider but as a team manager. There was talk about Simone as a test rider in Giovanni Cuzari's team, which he could pair with his role as a manager.
The rider from Rome has a great deal of racing experience. He had started racing in the 125 in the MotoGP in 2003 and was a protagonist in the Moto2 for a while. His last seasons in the class had been just with Forward. He then moved on to the Supersport, a championship in which he also raced this year.
Now, the time seems to have arrived for Corsi to move to the other side of the fence and manage the Forward team and its riders. There are many riders who preceded him in this one, the latest being Alex De Angelis, at the helm of the newly formed Pramac team in the Moto2.
