MotoGP: Grand Prix of solidarity in Barcelona: auctions and donations for Valencia

Dorna had announced that the last round of the championship in Barcelona would be a Grand Prix under the banner of solidarity for Valencia, which was brought to its knees by Cyclone Dana. "Racing for Valencia" is the slogan and now from words we've moved to deeds, communicating all the charity initiatives that will be held over the weekend.

Tickets

Tickets for the Solidarity GP are already on sale (HERE), and 30,000 were already sold in the first 24 hours. Proceeds will be donated directly to relief funds in Valencia. For those who bought tickets for the Valencia GP, the promoter has offered the option of keeping them for next year or requesting a refund.

Auctions

Three auctions will be held during the weekend: two on site and one on-line. The on-site auctions will be held Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the circuit's fanzone. MotoGP riders will take the stage, joined by Legends and VIPs, to auction off some of the incredible items donated by the entire paddock.

Fans from all over the world will be able to participate in the on-line auction, where some truly unique items are up for grabs to benefit the cause: Maverick Viñales' bike, with which he had won the Moto3 championship, is one of the first items up for auction. More details about the on-line auction, including the full list of items and start and end dates, will be available soon. Fans who wish to participate in the on-site auction can do so if they are attending the GP with any weekend ticket.

Donations

A special #RacingForValencia T-shirt will also be produced, with proceeds going directly to relief efforts. Proceeds from the Solidarity GP, from ticket sales to funds raised from auctions and individual donations, will be centralized in a MotoGP-specific donation system through a partnership with CaixaBank.

Funds raised from the MotoGP will then be donated to La Cruz Roja (Red Cross), which is working on the ground in Valencia, with the goal of helping the towns closest to the circuit. You can make a donation directly to the MotoGP fund at THIS LINK.
