Barry Baltus will be joining Aron Canet on the Fantic team in 2025. After four years in the Moto2 with RW Racing, the Belgian rider is changing teams. "I'm very happy to join Fantic Racing, and I'll proudly wear its colors!" he said. "It's a high-level, ambitious team, and its project matches what I wanted for my career. They're constantly fighting for top positions, and I'm very motivated to work with them. Many thanks to Fantic, my management Zelos, and also to all the sponsors and fans who support us. Now that everything is clear about the future, we can put all our energy into the 2024 season finale before we start this new challenge!"
Stefano Bedon, Project Manager for Fantic Racing Moto2, commented: "We're happy to welcome Barry Baltus to our project. After four years with the same team, with which he already achieved a podium, it was right for him to look for new stimuli. Having a teammate of Canet's caliber on the team will allow him to improve, and we'll be ready to support him on this path."
Mariano Roman, Manager for Fantic Motor Racing, added: "In our second year in the MotoGP, the Fantic Racing Moto2 team is confirming itself at the top of the category. Aron Canet, second in the riders standings and winner of three GP seasons, has found the right balance within our team that allows him to express his full potential. We're excited to welcome a young talent like Barry Baltus to our family for 2025. Besides the high technical level the team accumulated in these first two years of development, we're also committed to creating an environment at Fantic where riders feel at home and can express themselves to their fullest. Announcing our new rider here at EICMA is even more special, especially since we're presenting Fantic's brand new street range, inspired precisely by our successes on world championship tracks."
