MotoGP: MotoGP will not race in Valencia, race against time for alternatives

There is only one certainty for the moment: there will be no racing in Valencia. It was Dorna that told the riders during the safety commission meeting.

Tipping the scales toward a 'no' after declarations by Ezpeleta and President Viegas, was the government of the Generalitat of Valencia, which prefers not to hold the race to focus on disaster relief and reconstruction.

Meanwhile, however, there is still no certain venue for the last Grand Prix of the season. The latest options, as was written yesterday, are the Montmeló circuit in Barcelona, or Aragon, but also Jerez and Qatar.

What is certain is that the original date of November 17 will not be maintained but everything will be postponed by a week, while also trying to figure out if the usual end-of-season test can be repositioned to Tuesday, November 26.

Yesterday Marc Marquez had spoken out against the possibility of doing the Grand Prix at the original venue, while today Bagnaia even said that if it was decided to race in Valencia he would not participate.

The solution of the Losail circuit in Qatar will have to take into account that there will be Formula 1 from November 25 to December 1. The Sunday before could also be a problem, given the logistical and organizational complexities of the paddock of the top motorsport formula.
