Miguel Oliveira won't be on the track in Malaysia either. Although he's recovering well from the surgery he underwent for his right wrist after the accident he was in during free practice in Indonesia, the Trackhouse Racing rider will have to be a spectator in Sepang as well, since he's not at his best.
As has previously occured, orenzo Savadori, Aprilia's official test rider, will be taking his place, working overtime in a different capacity than the ordinary.
But it's not the first time that the rider from Emilia will be racing on the Asian track: he raced in the 125 and, this year, he rode the current RS-GP24.
"I rode here during the winter shakedown. It's a nice circuit, and I'm looking forward to doing it again," he said in the team's official press release. "We have to continue to work for 2025, like we did in Buriram last weekend. This is the manufacturer's main goal."
After a not particularly favorable period, the team led by Davide Brivio would like to close the year positively. "We really need more luck after what happened in the last races. Miguel won't be able to race, but we hope to see him back in Valencia. That's why we'll have Lorenzo with us again this weekend," the manager commented.
