MotoGP, Marc Marquez and his open race suit after the crash in Thailand: what now?

After the crash and airbag explosion, Marc Marquez's race suit zipper lowered slightly. It can be seen very clearly on the onboards, but so far no decision has been made by the stewards

MotoGP: Marc Marquez and his open race suit after the crash in Thailand: what now?

Marc Marquez crashed while behind Pecco Bagnaia in the Thai GP. The Spaniard lost any chance of getting on the podium, but he immediately got back on the bike to try in any case to score some important points in his fight with Enea Bastianini for third place in the world championship. Only looking at some onboard images of Marc, it seems clear that there is a problem: the zipper of his suit in fact opened after the airbag deflated.

Looking at the attached photo gallery, one can see that as soon as he got back on the bike, Marc's airbag was inflated and the zipper properly closed. In the following laps, when the airbag deflated, the zipper lowered and ended up closing the suit in the chest area, but not up to the rider's neck. For a similar case, but with the suit completely open at the chest, Fabio Quartararo was penalized at Barcelona and the suit's zipper protection clip was enlarged. As of now, no communication has been made regarding any penalty against Marc, but according to the regulations the suit must be properly closed.
