David Alonso wins in Thailand and makes history. The Colombian of the CFMoto team takes his 12th win of the season, his fifth consecutive, and breaks Valentino Rossi's record of victories, which has stood since 1997. A race reduced to 12 laps the one in Buriram after the copious rains in the morning, which did not, however, intimidate the riders who still opted to race with slicks. An exciting race also for Luca Lunetta, the SIC58 team's standard bearer who started tenth but crossed the finish line 2nd after a great comeback that earned him his second podium of the season. Third on the podium was the Dutchman Veijer, who collided in a sprint on the straight with the Japanese Furusato, who crossed the finish line 5th and falling. Munoz finished 6th ahead of Australian Kelso 7th who did not take advantage of the pole opportunity. Eighth place for Ogden, ahead of Stefano Nepa 9th and Suzuki 10th who concluded the top ten.
Out of the top ten the other Italians: Rossi finishes 13th ahead of Farioli 14th, Carraro 19th, Bertelle 21st. Also worth mentioning is the double 'in-house' crash for Leopard riders Piqueras and Fernandez with two laps to go.
