Moto3: Australian Joel Kelso takes first pole at Buriram, David Alonso 4th

Joel Kelso takes his first Moto 3 pole in Buriram with a 1'40''603. The BOE Motorsports team's Australian rider preceded Dutch rider Collin Veijerby by a few hundredths. Instead, in the front row with a 3rd time for the Leopard team was rookie Angel Piqueras, who's already aiming at becoming Rookie of the Year in Thailand. Luca Lunetta, best of the Italians in qualifying, closed the top ten on the SIC58 team's Honda. The other Italians ended up further back: first forced to a pass from the Q1, Bertelle then finished 13th, with Nepa 14th, and Farioli 15th. At the bottom of the grid: Carraro 23rd and Rossi 24th.
