Joel Kelso takes his first Moto 3 pole in Buriram with a 1'40''603. The BOE Motorsports team's Australian rider preceded Dutch rider Collin Veijerby by a few hundredths. Luca Lunetta, best of the Italians in qualifying, closed the top ten on the SIC58 team's Honda. The other Italians ended up further back: first forced to a pass from the Q1, Bertelle then finished 13th, with Nepa 14th, and Farioli 15th. At the bottom of the grid: Carraro 23rd and Rossi 24th.
