The date and place are set. On November 3rd, in Bahrain, Valentino Rossi will be testing a Hypercar for the first time during the Rookie Test. This test on the BMW prototype had been a long time in the making, and now all the pieces have fallen into place. Before clutching the wheel of the real Hypercar, the Doctor has been in Munich to prepare himself as best as he can with the simulator. Then things are going to get serious.
"I'm excited to be able to test the Hypercar," Valentino commented. "We've been looking for a date for a long time, and now we've finally got it. I really wanted to do this test to see what the BMW M Hybrid V8 can do. Thank you BMW M Motorsport for this opportunity. For me, Hypercars are the MotoGP of cars. They have a lot of power and are really impressive. I've been preparing in the BMW M Motorsport simulator and already got a first impression. But driving the real car will be even more exciting. I'm really curious to see what potential I'll have at my disposal."
For now, it's just a test, but Rossi plans to continue with GT3 cars in 2025.
