2024 is ending with a smile, and it's time for the Evan Bros team to start looking ahead to the next World Supersport season. The team from Ravenna aims to start over from the results reached with Valentin Debise, who gave them a 4th place in the riders standings and a 5th in the teams standings, with seven podiums and a total of 238 points, relying on a new rider.
According to what we've just learned, the team captained by Fabio Evangelista would, in fact, be close to welcoming among its ranks Can Oncu, who's leaving the Puccetti Racing team after five seasons on the Kawasaki.
This would be a big change for the 21-year-old Turkish rider. He'd be riding the Evan Bros' Yamaha with the clear intention of leaving behind a very complicated two-year period, after having injured his left arm in 2023 at Assen, in order to fighting again consistently at the top of the championship.
This is a goal he shares with the Ravenna-based team that, after the first title in the Women's World Championship with Ana Carrasco, can only aspire to getting back to the top in the Supersport, where it had already dominated during the 2019-2020 season.
