Danilo Petrucci finished Race2 in Jerez in 6th place, losing 4th place in the World Championship to Alex Lowes and the Kawasaki. But Danilo is aware of what he's done this year, especially considering the bad fall he had with the motocross bike.
So the Barni team rider should consider the glass half full.
"We're not happy with this Sunday, but we were also not satisfied with fifth or sixth places this year," he said. "It's a pity we missed fourth place but, unfortunately, the injury affected me a lot, and I had to miss practically two races."
But Petrux goes home with a big smile.
"I'd like to thank everyone who worked with us, managing to be the best independent team. We won three races in one weekend, won the rider and team title among the privates. Doing better was impossible, and no one managed to do it. The outcome can only be positive."
he's now looking turned to 2025....
"For next year, I'd like more because it's not easy. We have four riders ahead of us in the world championship, and we have that most difficult step ahead of us. We managed to be on the podium for eight races in a row, and the performance has been remarkable. So I'm happy for Barni and all the people around us."
