The Mugello Circuit is discussed in the first Vodcast produced by Pirelli dedicated to the golden world of Formula 1 available on the Milan-based company's YouTube channel. The first episode of Box Box Box hosted by renowned journalist Tom Clarkson features Oracle Red Bull Racing's three-time world champion Max Verstappen, FIA Single-seater Department Director Nikolas Tombazis and McLaren F1 Team Principal Andrea Stella.

The Red Bull driver did not hesitate to answer the question, “Which circuit would you most like to see on the Formula 1 calendar?” “Mugello, because of its fast corners. Compared to many stop-and-go circuits, Mugello has a fantastic flow of very fast corners.”

Always a great admirer of the Tuscan track, Max was also at Mugello in early October for a test with his Verstappen.com Racing team in GT3 cars. Joining the three-time World Champion on the track were his father Jos Verstappen and Thierry Vermeulen, a longtime friend and son of his manager, Raymond Vermeulen.

Also recent was Pirelli's F1 test at Mugello scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday this week with as many as three teams.

Red Bull Racing fielded its reserve driver Liam Lawson, who will replace Daniel Ricciardo from the next Grand Prix while the McLaren F1 Team used one of the two starters, namely Lando Norris. Scuderia Ferrari alternated between Carlos Sainz in the morning and Charles Leclerc in the afternoon at the wheel of the SF-24.

The team of Pirelli technicians worked on two parallel programs: Red Bull and Ferrari were busy on the development of compounds for 2025, particularly the harder ones in the range planned for next season, while McLaren, which brought a mule car to Mugello, focused on the first tests of the 2026 tire prototypes.

At the end of the day, there were 390 laps run. The most active on the track was Lando Norris (118 laps, best time 1'21''302) followed by Liam Lawson (116 laps, 1'23''219), Charles Leclerc (79 laps, 1'21''053) and Carlos Sainz (77 laps, 1'21''890).
