MotoGP, Savadori: "I haven't raced at Motegi for 14 years, since the 125s"

"I was in India and Rivola called me. I've studied it a little bit on the PlayStation also because I have trouble remembering the corners. Vinales says the Aprilia has uneven braking? I've never had that problem."

MotoGP: Savadori:

Lorenzo Savadori will also be present for Aprilia at Motegi. Due to Miguel Oliveira's absence, the Trackhouse team decided to field the Romagna-based test rider from the Noale manufacturer to replace the Portuguese rider. The Romagna native was called up at the last minute and he is ready for the challenge ahead of him riding the RS-GP.

"On Saturday I was in India for an Aprilia event and Rivola called me and told me there would be this possibility. So I accepted and I am ready for what will be my first race in Trackhouse colors."

You will be here to replace Miguel. What do you remember about Motegi?
"That's right. Sorry about Miguel's absence and I hope that he comes back soon. The last time I was in Motegi was 14 years ago with the 125. I would say it has been quite a few years. So we will try to work as best we can with the team with one eye also on 2025. I will start from scratch because I can barely remember the corners of this track (smiles)."

Compared to Austria, what changes?
"Definitely it is an Aprilia similar to the one in Austria and improved in braking. I think a step forward has been made. As said we are already working for the future, there are many important races ahead and we are trying to get data."

How did you prepare for this appointment?
"A little bit you learn it by playing on the PlayStation and also by watching on TV the rounds of the previous seasons. Let's say these are the two ways."

Lorenzo, in Indonesia Maverick said the Aprilia had uneven braking. What do you think about that?
"This kind of problem has never happened to me. At the same time, however, I can't make a judgment about it because I have never raced in Indonesia."
