SBK, New aerodynamics, revised engine, swingarm and frame: here is the new BMW for Toprak

In the Jerez tests immediately after the race, Toprak may already be taking the new M 1000 RR to the track: aerodynamics and engine are the parts on which the company has focused primarily. BMW will, however, lose the super concessions for 2025

SBK: New aerodynamics, revised engine, swingarm and frame: here is the new BMW for Toprak

Post-race on Sunday at Aragon, Toprak Razgatlioglu dropped the bombshell: "Next year we will have a new bike." Apparently in BMW they have not remained on the sidelines and for 2025 the goal is to raise the bar even higher, relaunching the challenge in World Superbike.

Of course, there is no shortage of curiosity to see firsthand what the new bike that Toprak and van der Mark will bring to the track next year will look like. According to what we have learned in the last few hours, the third version of the M 1000 RR will not present a real revolution although some important new features will be there.

The first is the aerodynamics, revised in order to make the bike less heavy when turning while perhaps sacrificing some downforce. At the same time work will be done on the engine since reliability has left some question marks this year. Then there will be some stiffness work on the frame and swingarm with the intention of promoting more rear grip and traction, aspects that Toprak clearly and transparently underlined in the post-race at Aragon.

At the moment, mouths remain sealed at BMW, but the news we have is that at the Jerez test, immediately after the race, Toprak may already be taking the new bike to the track. Obviously, by submitting the new homologation for 2025, the Superconcessions that BMW enjoys will be lost as per the regulations.
