MotoGP: OFFICIAL - KTM and Francesco Guidotti part ways at end of 2024

It's now official. Francesco Guidotti and KTM will be parting ways at the end of the season. A decision that was already being contemplated and that's been confirmed by those directly involved through a press release issued at the end of the Indonesian GP. Guidotti's successor in the role as KTM Team Manager should Aki Ajo, who's been with KTM for many years.

The press release:

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's MotoGP team will come under new management for the 2025 season and the seasons to come. The company wishes to thank Francesco Guidotti for his passion, knowledge, and commitment to this role.

Francesco brought a proven track record to the factory team for 2022 and for what was his second stint in Grand Prix racing with KTM's colors. For almost three years, he was able to oversee considerable improvements on both the technical and sporting aspects of the team, and his easy-going and approachable personality helped unify the crew across all boards. During this time. he helped KTM achieve two Grand-Prix wins and 12 podium finishes. Francesco led the team into the MotoGP Sprint era, where he celebrated 11 podiums and 2 wins. He contributed to the company's highest championship standing to date, when Brad Binder finished fourth in 2023 and KTM finished second in the constructors rankings.

In 2025, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing will enter a new chapter for what will be only its ninth season on the MotoGP grid, to then move closer to 2027 and the revamped technical regulations.

Pit Beirer, KTM Motorsports Director: "After three years with Francesco, and a lot of positive progress and working methods, we're moving the team with a different leadership approach. Making these changes is never an easy process, and we can only warmly thank Francesco for what he's done in our MotoGP story. 2025 will bring some big movements to the entire program in this close and exciting sport, and we're laying the groundwork to keep progressing."
