SBK, Bulega: "I could've won, but I thought about the championship"

"Congratulations to Petrucci, but 20 points for me were better than a fall, especially now that there's no Toprak. The Cremona circuit? It doesn't suit my riding style."

SBK: Bulega:

He could've risked and attempt to kill it but, in the end, Nicolò Bulega opted for being conservative in light of Razgatlioglu's absence due to injury. So, that was best rather than try to get behind Petrucci who, riding the Barni team's Ducati, literally flew in Cremona.

"When Iannone crashed, I tried to keep up with Danilo and, at one point, I even thought I could overtake him on the final lap. But after three or four laps. I noticed that the front was moving a lot, and that prevented me from riding as I wanted and pushing one-hundred percent. So, congratulations to the winner who, instead, was very fast. But my thoughts also went to the overall standings and the fact that twenty points are better than nothing," the rider from Emilia - who didn't particularly appreciate the track on his debut in the SBK championship - analyzed.

"I honestly don't like the layout of this track very much, Not because of the design itself, but because it doesn't suit my style. I prefer those where there are open and fast corners like Phillip Island," he revealed, before reverting to the battle with Toprak for the most prestigious cup.

"I think about the World Championship, but not that much, since it's still early. Now I just have to take advantage of the BMW rider's absence. Better second than falling but, from here to the end of the year, I'll always have to go to the podium," he reasoned.

Finally, a mention of Sunday's tire choice: "The SCX is my favorite, so I think I'll use it again tomorrow on the rear. The problem today was the front."
