Ducati is aiming high for 2025 in the MXGP World Championship. In fact, the Borgo Panigale-based manufacturer has just announced the signing of Jeremy Seewer, a veteran of the discipline with an impressive resume behind him, a rider tied to Yamaha from 2018 to 2023 and who then moved to Kawasaki.
Born in Bülach, Switzerland, the 30-year-old has just signed a two-year deal that will see him wear the colors of the Italian manufacturer until the end of 2026. It is a major coup that well illustrates the ambitions of the brand that is dominating in MotoGP.
Making his debut in the top motocross championship in 2012, he was twice runner-up in the MX2 category in 2016 and 2017, where he has so far achieved five race wins, and as many as three times in MXGP in 2019, 2020, and 2022, where he has stood on the top step of the podium on eight occasions. Third at the end of last season, when there are still two rounds left, he is fourth in the overall standings, 278 points behind leader Tim Gajser.
