A big question mark hovers over Michael Ruben Rinaldi's 2025 season. The only certainty is that next year the Romagnolo will no longer be riding Motocorsa's Ducati V4. The marriage with Lorenzo Mauri is in fact close to coming to an end and the #21 is looking around.
His priority is certainly to remain in World Superbike, so much so that Michael, at the Magny-Cours round, talked to Yamaha about considering Motoxracing's R1 as a possibility. Already last year he could have gone to Yamaha with GMT94, but 12 months ago he preferred the Ducati offered by Lorenzo Mauri.
Yamaha aside, Michael's heart still continues to beat for Ducati to such an extent that he is monitoring with interest the evolving situation at Go Eleven, which is having to deal with the renewal of Andrea Iannone. Returning to the team where he first won in Superbike would be what he perhaps most desires, but the road seems unlikely to be feasible.
As mentioned before, staying in World SBK is the priority for Rinaldi, but there is no shortage of sirens from other paddocks. According to what we learned at Magny-Cours and confirmed by his own entourage, the Romagnolo would have an offer on the table to race in BSB next season.
The British Championship is therefore tempting the current Motocorsa rider and for him it would be something completely new in a context never experienced before almost marking a turning point in life.
The BSB possibility is also accompanied by rumors coming from the States because in MotoAmerica they would again like an Italian rider at the start as happened two years ago with Danilo Petrucci. About the USA, however, we have no confirmation unlike the possibility coming from BSB.
So we will see how Michael's situation will evolve and what choices he will decide to make.
