There are those who, from the MotoGP paddock, thought it best to go to the production-bikes paddock, and those who thought to take the opposite route. This is the case of Adrian Huertas, who'll be racing in the Moto2 with Italtrans' Kalex next year.
A choice that, in some ways, turned out to be a kind of lightning bolt that even struck Nicolò Bulega, who's well acquainted with the other paddock. The Aruba rider wanted to give his own point of view on the subject.
"Given his young age, I think it's the right choice for Adrian," he said. "In his place, I'd have done the same, also because the next step would then be the MotoGP, should he do well in the Moto2.
Nicolò, what is your advice to Huertas?
"In my opinion, he'll have to use a different mentality, and try to be ready, since the other paddock is more stressful and difficult. Not so much for the results, seiing that I expect him to be fast. He'll have a lot more stress to deal with."
Do you think he can be ready?
"Yes, I think he can be ready, because I see he's determined. Obviously, when you win, everything is easier, but he's doing very well. We saw Manu Gonzalez follow the same kind of path in the past and turn out to be strong."
When you talk about stress, what are you referring to?
"Stress is due to everything. I'm referring to the fact that there are more races, more people watching you and, if you don't score right away, they say you're not a good rider. These are all the components you have to deal with. However, I think Adrian will have no problem."
