MotoGP, Campinoti: "Martin wants to prove to Ducati that it was wrong to bet on Marquez."

"Jorge is a good guy. The success in the Misano Sprint Race that came after a great start will be a confidence boost. He showed that he is in the fight."

MotoGP: Campinoti:

Jorge Martin's Misano weekend was characterized by lights and shadows. While on Saturday he managed to confirm his explosiveness by taking home the Sprint Race, on Sunday he was the protagonist of an error of judgment that relegated him to the lower parts of the group. Deceived by a few drops of rain, the Spaniard wanted to return to the pits for the bike change, which turned out to be pointless, thus ruining his own race that, otherwise would have said something else.

Analyzing the performance of his rider, who still remains the overall points leader, Prima Pramac team owner Paolo Campinoti immediately preferred to dwell on the positive notes. "In the Sprint he made a fantastic start and that is probably what guaranteed him the success. It was a very important result given that lately, while always occupying second or third place, he was no longer able to get to the front - was the team principal's comment to TNT Sport - I think this newfound first position can be useful for him and give him confidence, as if it were a sort of demonstration that he is still there and can get the upper hand."

The past few months have not been at all easy for the 26-year-old. Especially weighing on him was Ducati's decision to promote Marquez alongside Bagnaia in 2025 instead of him, who has been his only real rival for a couple of seasons now.

"Jorge gives the idea that he has a very strong personality, in reality he is really a good guy, a nice person, very human and today he is more motivated than ever to prove that the Borgo Panigale factory was wrong to choose Marc Marquez," declared Campinoti.
