The third edition of the Yamaha R7 European SuperFinal will be held this week at the Paul Ricard. For the first time, 28 of the best riders from the national R7 Cups and Challenges worldwide will compete for the chance to be crowned champions at the Bol d'Or, the last round of the season for the World Endurance Championship.

Hailing from such diverse countries as Brazil, Greece, Germany, Belgium, Andorra, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and the Czech Republic, the 28 participants in the Yamaha R7 European Cup SuperFinal will have the opportunity to challenge and compete in such an incredible international showcase as that offered by the EWC's final round. This is one of the most anticipated and popular events on the World Endurance World Championship calendar, which managed to attract an impressive 83,000 spectators last year.

Fully supported by Yamaha throughout the event, participants will join bLU cRU Rider Coach, Lorenzo Alfonsi, as they a tour the Le Castellet circuit, after going through the mandatory briefings.

In order to grasp all the secrets of the circuit and how best to tackle it, and to better immerse themselves in the context that hosts them, the competitors will also have the opportunity to tour the garage of the official Yamalube YART Yamaha EWC team and meet its riders, Niccolò Canepa, Karel Hanika, and Marvin Fritz: reigning World Endurance Champions and in the midst of a fight for being reappointed.

The R7 SuperFinal riders will then be able to start getting familiar with their Yamaha R7s during the 20-minute free practice scheduled for Thursday, September 12th, before competing in qualifying, which will determine the starting grid for the two SuperFinal races. Race 1 will start on Friday the 13th at 1:30 p.m. local time, while Race 2 will be held on Saturday the 14th at 12:10 p.m., just before the start of the Bol d'Or 24 Hours.

The winner of the Superfinal will receive a brand new Yamaha R7, the latest addition to the R series from the Iwata-based manufacturer, as a prize. While the second and third place finishers will instead receive vouchers for the purchase of GYTR components, to be redeemed at their trusted Yamaha GYTR PRO SHOP.
