SBK: Iannone, Redding, Rinaldi: Superbike rider market becomes a chess match

So far nothing is moving, that's the situation! At Magny-Cours some news was expected, instead everything remains stationary for the moment, more or less like Portimao a month ago. The only news is Huertas' move to Moto2, which we already wrote about this week, while for everyone else all that remains to do is wait.

Apparently the Superbike 2025 market seems to have become a kind of chess game, where everyone is waiting before making their move. Andrea Iannone, however, seems to be close to Yamaha, but The Maniac is prevaricating enough to declare,"It's still early to decide, it takes time, this is the most important decision of my career and we have to wait."

On the same page is Scott Redding, who uses politically correct tones: "I have no news for 2025. I would like to continue racing with BMW and do it in World Superbike." The truth is one however: the #45 would like to free himself from his contract with the Munich-based manufacturer, but at the moment the path to contract termination is a long one.

In this regard, it cannot be ruled out that BMW may also decide to enforce the contract, thus denying the Briton a ride for Ducati in 2025. This, however, remains a very remote possibility, which we prefer not to give much credence to, although at the moment the only certainty is that the two parties have not yet been able to find the necessary understanding for the termination of the contract.

In this summer cauldron there is also the name of Michael Ruben Rinaldi, whose adventure with Motocorsa will come to an end at the end of the season. The Romagna rider is looking around with a view to 2025: at Magny-Cours he spoke with MotoXracing, thus evaluating as an option the Yamaha R1 currently ridden by Bradley Ray. In his heart, however, the #21 is not giving up dreaming about a return with Go Eleven, i.e., the team with which he won his first Superbike race, and which is now grappling with Iannone's decision about his future.

In short: the SBK market is still incandescent, all that remains is to wait for who will make the first move.
