MotoGP, Marquez: "my secret in the left turns? I will explain it to Bagnaia if he tells me his"

MotoGP: Marquez:

A few days after the Misano GP things have gone back to normal, folowing the controversy over the incident between Alex Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia, and everyone is back talking about racing once again.

The first to do so, after his convincing victory at Aragon, is Marc Marquez himself, who clarified the step forward made in performance on the Ducati GP23.

"It's true that I've started to ride more naturally," he said in the aftermath of the race, "I understand better the behavior of the rear tire, but above all I've stopped looking at the adjustments that the factory riders make with the GP24. And that's because they are different bikes. We have to focus on our bike, and on this point our team is doing a great job, and because of that I am riding more and more smoothly, something that makes a difference."

Many observers pointed the finger at the fact that Marc Marquez's first win after a 1043-day winless drought came at Aragon, a left-handed circuit, forgetting that even at Austin and Sachsenring, circuits with the same peculiarity, only a series of contributing factors kept Marc away from the podium.

In particular, both Bagnaia and Bastianini pointed out that Marc was able to lean as much as five degrees more than them in left-hand turns, a clear sign of greater speed. Asked how this was possible, the eight-time world champion responded by complimenting his opponent.

"I'll explain what my secret is in the left-hand turns when Bagnaia explains what his is in the right-hand ones," he joked, then adding, "Too bad most circuits turn to the right!
