MotoGP, Bagnaia: "Thrilled to race in Misano, but physically I'm still not 100%"

"I'm working hard to race without discomfort". Home GP also for Enea Bastianini: "I should find better sensations than in Aragon"

MotoGP: Bagnaia:

After Bagnaia's negative weekend at Aragon, the San Marino GP comes just at the right time. Pecco will race at home, in the midst of his fans, and on a track he really likes, on which he has won three times in his career (twice in MotoGP and once in Moto2).

The world champion will have to take advantage of the friendly track therefore to try to reduce the gap in the championship from Martin, who now has a 23-point lead. There is every chance of him doing that, although after Sunday's crash Bagnaia is still not in perfect shape.

"I am thrilled to race in Misano this weekend. The San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix is always an exciting event: I will race just a few kilometers from home and there will be a lot of fans there to support us - he explained - We know we have good potential on this track and it will be crucial to do a good job immediately to be competitive. Physically I'm still not 100%, but I'm working hard to race without discomfort."

Misano is also the home GP for Enea Bastianini, who was born in Rimini, just a few kilometers from the circuit. The Beast struggled in Aragon and is ready to make up for it.

"Last year I was forced to skip the Grand Prix because of an injury - he recalled - so I'm happy to finally be able to get on track in Misano. Racing here is always something special: I grew up and live a few miles from the circuit, therefore, it is my home race. Compared to last week, I think we should find better feelings in Misano. In any case, it will be important to be fast starting Friday and then do a good qualifying. We'll give it our all and I am looking forward to racing in front of all our fans."
