MotoGP, Updates for Yamaha at Aragon: "Innovations approved during Misano tests."

Tests on the Italian circuit seem to have paid off. Quartararo: "We noticed slight improvements." Rins: "I liked some of the innovations."

MotoGP: Updates for Yamaha at Aragon:

Yamaha is rolling up its sleeves and trying to get out of the crisis in which it is mired. Engineers are working at full speed, and the latest (temporary, for now) news is Andrea Dovizioso becoming a test rider. A few days ago, the Forlì native joined factory riders Fabio Quartarato and Alex Rins for a private test at Misano, where there were new parts to try out. The parts seem to have been promoted, because we'll be seeing them on the M1s as early as Aragon, where they'll be racing this weekend.

"We'll bring updates that were tested and approved in Misano by our riders last weekend," team director "Maio" Meregalli confirmed.

Yamaha hopes to be able to make progress at the MotorLand (recently resurfaced, by the way).

"We had the opportunity to try out some new things during the private tests in Misano, and we noticed that the new parts help us improve a little," Quartararo explained. "This weekend, we'll have another opportunity to try them, but in a race context this time. Aragon is usually not an easy circuit for me, but I'm curious to see if the new asphalt will help me."

Alex Rins is also pleased with the work done: "Despite some rain, we made good use of the private test in Misano. I liked some of the new parts, and we'll bring them to Aragon. I'm going to this GP with a positive mindset. The track is a circuit where I've done well in the past. Now that the track has been resurfaced, hopefully the grip has increased, which could benefit us."
