One thing is certain: it's going to be an incandescent two weeks on the rider market front as Superbike heads toward the Magny-Cours round in early September. If you look at the situation of each team below, you will find that half of the teams still do not have a rider for next season.
There is no shortage of question marks, but we are of the opinion that we will soon have all the answers we need. As we know, the red-hot names are those of Andrea Iannone and Scott Redding. The former is wanted by Yamaha to partner him in the GRT team with Gardner, but at the same time Go Eleven represents a safe bet for The Maniac to continue another year.
Should the #29 marry the project in blue, there would already be Huertas ready to replace him on the Panigale V4 of the Piedmont-based team run by Gianni Ramello. Speaking of Ducati, Galinski's MGM team is waiting for Redding, who has been called to terminate his contract with BMW, which will field only Toprak and van der Mark on the M 1000 RRs next year.
Also monitoring the situation is Motocorsa, which will end its relationship with Michael Rinaldi at the end of the season, and who is waiting to know his fate.
It' something that also unites the Yamaha GMT 94 and Motoxracing teams, which will most likely part ways with Oettl and Ray at the end of the season. And what about MIE Honda, whose renewals of Mackenzie and Norrodin have not yet been announced.
The only certainties then come from Bimota with Bassani and Lowes as well as from Honda, which has decided to renew its trust in Lecuona and Vierge. The same goes, as already mentioned, for BMW, joined by Yamaha, whose colors will be held high by Locatelli and Rea. Finally Ducati Aruba, called to announce the renewal of Bautista close to the French round. Regarding Bulega, there is nothing to report, since the SBK rookie has a two-year contract expiring in 2026.
Finally, it is worth mentioning someone who is doubling up, namely Barni, which will bring a second bike to the track in 2025, entrusted to Yari Montella, who will debut in SBK alongside Danilo Petrucci, freshly renewed after the Portuguese round.
This, then, is the situation ahead of a late August and early September that promises to be red-hot.
